Constitution v/s Politics

25th June 1975
इंदिरा गांधी ने आपातकाल (emergency) कि घोषणा की।
हज़ारों लोगों पर ज़ुल्म हुए, जिन्होंने सरकार का विरोध किया उनको मारा गया,पिटा गया,लोगों की जबरन नसबंदी करवाई गई, कई लोग मर गए।

आपातकाल (emergency) ख़त्म हुई।
31st October 1984
इंदिरा गांधी की उनके दो सीख बॉडीगार्ड्स ने हत्या कर दी। इसका बदला लेने के लिए कोंग्रेस के कार्यकर्ता तथा समर्थकों ने पूरे देश में सिखों को मारना शुरू किया, उनको जिंदा जलाया गया। सरकारी आंकड़ों के मुताबिक दिल्ली में 2800 निर्दोष सिखों को मारा गया और पूरे देश में 3500। अनौपचरिक अांकड़ा 8000 से 17000 है।
2nd December 1984
भोपाल में यूनियन कार्बाइड फैक्टरी से जहरीली गैस लीक होना शुरू होती है। यह हादसा खराब गुणवत्ता की मशीनरी इस्तेमाल करने की वजह से हुआ। 500000 लोगों पर उसकी असर होती है। कुल 3787 लोग मारे गए। पहले 2 हफ्तों में 8000 लोग मारे गए। उस कंपनी के CEO Warren Anderson पर कोई जांच नहीं होती ना ही उसे गिरफ़्तार किया जाता है।
6th December 1992
कुछ बड़े हिंदूवादी संगठनों के नेता, उन संगठनों के कार्यकर्ता बाबरी मस्जिद का ढांचा तोड़ देते हैं। धार्मिक तनाव के चलते दंगे शुरू हुए उसमें 2000 से भी ज्यादा लोगों की जान गई। केवल मुबंई ही में दोनों धर्म के 900 लोग मारे गए।
27th February 2002
अयोध्या से लौट रही ट्रेन के कार सेवक से भरे डिब्बे को आग लगा दी जाती है। 59 लोग जल के मर जाते हैं।इसके बाद गुजरात में दंगे शुरू होते हैं। तीन महीनों में 1100 से 2000 निर्दोष मारे जाते हैं।
2010 से 2017 के बीच में 63 mob lynchings की घटनाएं हुई हैं।

अगर आपने संविधान की प्रस्तवना ना पढ़ी हो तो अब पढ़ लीजिए।
क्या आपको प्रस्तावना और जो यह घटनाएं हुई है उनमें विरोधाभास दिख रहा है? प्रस्तावना हमे बताती है कि हमारा सपना क्या था? कैसा समाज बनाना, कैसा देश बनाना हमारा सपना था और यह सारी घटनाएं हमारी, इस देश की हक़ीक़त बताती है। और यह सभी घटनाएं इस बात का प्रमाण है कि हम सब ने, सभी राजनैतिक दल ने, सभी धार्मिक संस्थाओं ने अपना खुद का, मन मुताबिक संविधान बना दिया है जो असली संविधान से काफी अलग है और उससे विरूद्ध है। और जिस विरोधाभास की मैं बात कर रहा हूं वह सिर्फ राजनीति में नहीं है, हमारे जीवन के हर पहलू में है चाहे वो सामाजिक जीवन हो या निजी जीवन हो।
क्या यह हमारा फ़र्ज़ नहीं की हम हमारे संविधान जो हम सब के लिए एक है उसको अपनाए? क्यूं की जब दिखावे की बात आती है तब हम बढ़ चड़कर दिखावा करते है कि हम दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी लोकशाही है पर जब फ़र्ज़ निभाना आता है तब हम निभाते नहीं। इसके बाद हमें इन समस्याओं के लिए शिकायत करने का, रोने का कोई अधिकार नहीं है।
तो उन सभी विरोधाभास को पहचानिए, समझिए और उसको हटाने के लिए कोशिश कीजिए। खुद से, आस पास लोगों से, राजनैतिक दलों से, नेताआें से, व्यवस्था से और उन सभी चीज़ों से की क्या हम संविधान का अमल कर रहे हैं? क्या हम इस देश के नागरिक होने का पहला फ़र्ज़ निभा रहे हैं?

Indira Gandhi declared emergency.
Thousands of people were victimized. Those who spoke against the government were beaten. Men were getting forced to get vasectomy done. And on top of that, a lot of people died.
21st March 1977
The emergency was declared over.
31st October 1984
Indira Gandhi was killed by two of her own Sikh bodyguards. To take revenge, Congress personnel and supporters started killing Sikh all over the country. Some of the Sikhs were even burned alive. According to an official statement by Government, 2800 innocent Sikhs were killed in Delhi itself and 3500 in the rest of the nation. An unofficial data states that the number was actually much bigger than that, that it was actually 8000-17000.
2nd December 1984
Bhopal Union Carbide Factory gas incident happens. The accident had happened because of using machinery of bad quality. Due to that, 5,00,000 people got affected. A total of 3787 people initially and then in the first two weeks, the number raised to around 8000. The CEO of Union Carbide, Warren Anderson, was neither arrested nor investigated.
6th December 1992
Some of the leaders and personnel of some big Hindu groups destroyed the structure of Babri Masjid. Among the rising religious tensions, more than 2000 people lost their lives. More than 900 people in Mumbai itself from both Hindu and Muslim religions lost their lives.
27th February 2002
A whole bogey of a train returning from Ayodhya was set on fire. 59 people died in the incident. After that, riots started in Gujarat. In the span of 3 months, 1100-2000 innocents lost their lives.
63 mob lynching incidents happened between 2010 to 2017.
On 29th May, 2019
A medical student named Komal Tadvi took away her own life because her seniors were bullying her because of her caste.
If you haven’t read the preamble of our constitution, then now is the time to read it.
Can you see the paradox between the preamble and all of the incidents that are stated above? Doesn’t the preamble tell us what was our dream? How we wanted our society to be, how we wanted our nation to be and all of these incidents tells us the reality. These incidents are the proof that all of us including all the political groups and the religious groups have made our own version of the constitution which is very different from the real one, in fact which is in some ways opposite to the real one. And the paradox which I am talking about isn’t only present in politics, it is present in our day to day lives, be it social or personal.
Isn’t it our duty to accept the constitution which is same for all of us? When it comes to show off, we boast ourselves by saying that we are the largest democracy in the whole world but when it comes to fulfil our duties, we fail. And if we fail to fulfil our duties, we have no right to complain and cry about the problems that we face.
Identify such paradoxes, understand them and try to remove them from existence. Ask yourself, ask the people around you, the political groups, the political leaders, institutions and from everyone else that are we implying the constitution properly?
Are we fulfilling the first and the most important duty as a citizen of India?
